How to Locate the Reflexology Brain Zone

How to Locate the Reflexology Brain Zone

Using alternative medicine techniques and treatments often requires some specific knowledge. Acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology all work based on how the meridians that run through the body connect different organs and systems together. Knowing exactly where to treat these meridians for given ailments and problems is the key to using these techniques to help heal the problems. The brain has an access point in the hand.

1

Apply even and firm pressure to each of the zones for the brain. Use enough pressure that the person feels a reaction in the reflex point without applying so much that there is pain experienced.

2

Take the hand and apply pressure to the very end of the thumb on the palm side near the nail of the thumb. Apply the pressure for about 45 seconds to a minute. Continue this treatment to the first and second finger of the hand in the same region. Repeat this treatment with the other hand and treat the thumb, first, and second finger in the same way.

3

Examine the sole side of the feet. Each foot has the same reflex zones for the brain and each should be worked in the same fashion. The zone for the brain is located on the sole side of the foot at the tip of the big toe, the second toe and the third toe. Apply even and firm pressure to the end of each of these toes for about a minute for each toe.

Tips & Warnings

When applying pressure on the tip of the fingers and toes, be careful not to use your nail as this will cause pain in most cases. Use the side of your finger to apply the pressure.
